January 15-19, 2016
The Embassy Suites - DC Convention Center
900 10th St NW
Washington DC, 20001

The training will be Friday-Sunday from 8 am – 5 pm. The Winter Institute Reception will be Friday, January 15 from 6 to 8 pm at The Embassy Suites. Friday – Sunday, we will be covering credentials from the top sending countries. Monday and Tuesday will be an intensive workshop covering China and India respectively.

During the course of the Institute, you will concentrate on the awarding of credit from overseas study and how that would be placed in the context of US institutional degree programs. Key topics will include credit for British GCE Advanced Level Exams, the question of awarding credit for German upper secondary studies, and when to grant credit for upper secondary study in general around the world. Overseas post-secondary transfer credit will also be covered including the conversion of ECTS credits to U.S. semester hours, as well as converting overseas courses to U.S. semester hours even when a credit system is not used abroad.
